• Use antivirus software at your website. This will help you to remove malicious spam. Install the antivirus software at your host computer and keep it updated. Do not open and suspicious email on your server as it can lead to some serious threat. These days’ people even attach virus to the word document. Scan all the documents with your antivirus and then only open them. Also scan all your website files and attachments to the comments.

• Preview the title or heading of the mail before opening it, as some emails themselves have viruses attached which get loaded on opening.

• Never reply to anyone who asks you to give money as these people are scammers.

• Never forward chain emails as these emails are sometime infected.

• Moderate comments on your blog and delete spam comments as soon as possible. This will reduce the possibility of more spam coming to your blog.

• Never give your email address to mailing list or newsgroups. As these groups can sell your email address to spammers.
